Ans. The natural world in which we live is called environment.

Ans. Our environment is composed of two components - one is physical and the other is biological.

Ans. Some examples of abiotic components of our environment are - temperature, humidity, light, air, soil, rock, water etc.

Ans. The biological components of our environment is called the biotic or living component off our environment. This consists of all animals plants and microorganisms.

Ans. Some basic characteristics of some living thing are growth, movement, nutrition, respiration excretion, reproduction response to stimuli, adaptation and cellular structure.
7. What is called growth?
Ans. The gradual increase in the size of an organism is called growth.
