1. Am, is, are, was, were

5. Need, dare, used to, ought to

Simple Present tenseৰ বাক্যবোৰক Interrogative বা negative কৰিবৰ বাবে do verb ৰ সহায় লোৱা হয়।

    যেনে –

You know English. তুমি ইংৰাজী জানা। (Assertive or Declarative sentence)

Do you know English? তুমি ইংৰাজী জানানে?  (Interrogative Sentence)

You don’t know English. তুমি ইংৰাজী নাজানা। (Negative Sentence)

Notes –

An assertive or Declarative sentence is a sentence that makes a statement or assertion.

An interrogative sentence is a sentence that asks a question.

A negative sentence is a sentence that states that something is false.

Simple Present tenseৰ কোনো বাক্যৰ subjectটো 3rd person/singular numberৰ হ’লে Interrogative বা negative কৰিবৰ বাবে does ব্যৱহাৰ কৰা হয়, আৰু main verbটোৰ পৰা s বা es অংশ গুচাই কেৱল V1 অংশ ৰখা হয়।

    যেনে –

(Assertive or Declarative sentence)

He knows English. তেওঁ ইংৰাজী জানে।

(Interrogative Sentence)

Does he know English? তেওঁ ইংৰাজী জানে নে?

(Negative Sentence)

He doesn’t know English. তেওঁ ইংৰাজী নাজানে।

Simple Future tenseৰ বাক্যবোৰত shall/will থকা বাবে Interrogative কৰিবৰ সময়ত shall verbটো বাক্যৰ আৰম্ভণিলৈ অনা হয়, আৰু Negative কৰিবৰ বাবে shall ৰ ঠাইত shall not বা shan’t (shall + not) আৰু will ৰ ঠাইত won’t (will+not) ব্যৱহাৰ কৰা হয়।

We shall play football. আমি ফুটবল খেলিম।

You will speak English. তুমি ইংৰাজী ক’বা।

(Interrogative Sentence)

(Negative Sentence)

We shan’t play football. আমি ফুটবল নেখেলোঁ।

You won’t speak English. তুমি ইংৰাজী নোকোৱা।
