The Characters :

1. Oliver - Oliver Twist is the title character and protagonist of the novel Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. He was the first child protagonist in an English novel.

2. Mr. Bumble - Mr. Bumble, fictional character in the novel Oliver Twist (1837–39) by Charles Dickens. Mr. Bumble is the cruel, pompous beadle of the poorhouse where the orphaned Oliver is raised. Bumbledom, named after him, characterizes the meddlesome self-importance of the petty bureaucrat.

Mr. Bumble marries the poorhouse matron, Mrs. Corney, a tyrannical woman who completely dominates him. In response to learning that a husband bears legal responsibility for his wife’s actions, Mr. Bumble utters the celebrated line “If the law supposes that—the law is a ass.” The Bumbles become paupers in the same poorhouse where they once inflicted such damage and unhappiness.

2. Dawkins - Jack Dawkins, better known as the Artful Dodger, is a character in the Charles Dickens novel Oliver Twist. The Dodger is a pickpocket, so called for his skill and cunning in that occupation. He is the leader of the gang of child criminals, trained by the elderly Fagin.

3. Fagin - Fagin is a fictional character in Charles Dickens' novel Oliver Twist. In the preface to the novel, he is described as a "receiver of stolen goods". He is the leader of a group of children who he teaches to make their livings by pickpocketing and other criminal activities, in exchange for shelter.

4. Mr. Brownlow - Mr. Brownlow is a character from the novel Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. A bookish and kindly middle-aged bachelor, he helps Oliver to escape the clutches of Fagin. He later adopts Oliver Twist by the end of the novel.
6. Nancy - Nancy is a fictional character in the novel Oliver Twist. She is a member of Fagin's gang and the lover, and eventual victim, of Bill Sikes.
5. Bill Sikes - William "Bill" Sikes is a fictional character and a main antagonist in the novel Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. Sikes is a malicious criminal in Fagin's gang, and a vicious robber and murderer. Throughout much of the novel Sikes is shadowed by his “bull-terrier” dog Bull's-eye.

7. Noah Calypole - Noah Claypole is a minor antagonist in Oliver Twist. Noah was Mr Sowerberry's apprentice who got jelous of Oliver being the new addition to the funeral business. He would often refer to Oliver as Workhouse since Oliver came from a workhouse run by the beadle Mr Bumble.
